Inquiring minds want to know.

I have 47 days until Market Collective. 47 days to make as much art as I can and really put together my portfolio. I have ideas, but a scant few. I need some new inspiration.I find inspiration in all kinds of places, music, books, my aimless wandering, photos, stories. I need ideas and input. If you have any of either, please feel free to comment or email me. Something you would like to see? Some fresh idea ? Maybe you have some music I have never heard that I need to inspire me ? A phrase ? Anything counts. I appreciate any ideas greatly.

Midnight Poetry Writing - She

She is lost among a crowd. A crowd of demands and needs she cannot fill.
She smiles because she truly is happy. Remembering what she wanted all along.
She plays nice. She doesn't always say what she's thinking.
She makes sure you're content and comfortable.
She is unfailingly grasping at the ground. For something to stand on.
She remembers every word you say, and it stings her.
She wants more than this. More than merely being here, she wants the loud and living color.
She waits for the clock to change. Time to pick up this mess.
She wanders empty rooms. Looking for a friend.
She holds tight to her dreams and then sets them free.
She is tired. Tip toeing around the words left on the floor. 
She crosses her fingers this time will be different.
She keeps faith that come what may, love won't destroy her.
She smiles because she knows something you don't.
She lives with reason and without hesitation.

Hip Hip Hurray!

Exciting news. I have made one teensy baby step toward being where I want to be as an artist.
I booked a table at the Market Collective Art Market in Kensington , the booking is for December 11-12th.
I have a table and a partial wall display. Eeeee! So excited and now the push to create, non stop for the next month and a half. So many ideas. So little time. I hope all my family and friends will come, and you of course.. whoever you are reading this. I'll post updates and invites as it nears. Hurray for Art!

Photo Shoot

A month or so back I did a small photo shoot for my friend Kimberley, she was 8 months pregnant and wanted something to remember it by. I don't know if you can even call it a photo shoot, all the photos were shot in my bedroom using a black curtain as a backdrop and improvising with various scarves and props.We had a few laughs and made some beautiful memories for Kimberley. I really like how the photos turned out.

Now almost two months later I have a beautiful little nephew, Syrus, to cuddle and love.
