It's been a bumpy start to the year, and I haven't had as much time for art making as I'd like. I still vow this will be a year full of creativity, and it has begun to take a turn for the better.
I am working on a project with West Jet, it's under wraps for now, but when the time is right I'll post pictures. I've also been putting my creative energy to use in the kitchen, this year a new medium has presented itself rather unexpectedly, I am a cupcake lady. Cupcakes and cakes have made their way in to my repertoire. The most recent project being a pull apart cupcake cake, a lamb with pink flowers for a baby shower, super cute and lots of fun to make. After the West Jet project is finished let the painting begin again.
I'm also toying with an idea that's been floating around in my head for a while, a children's book, I would love to write and illustrate one. It's still in the brainstorm and research phase, but I'm looking forward to playing with the idea some more.
Another project in the works is a logo for my friend Danielle's business - Rock The Rolls Fitness and Healthy Living, look for her on facebook, search: Rock the Rolls.
I'm still in search of clients who need murals too, of course you need a mural! Who doesn't?
In the meantime, I'm busy drawing up a storm for this top secret project and keeping myself busy with work and my other blog.
It's been a busy couple of months and it doesn't look like it's going to slow down any time soon. I thrive when I have many projects to keep me busy, I couldn't be happier.
My Goals for the next month:
-Finish the West Jet project
-Start some new paintings
-Research children's writing and illustrating
-Update my physical portfolio
-Network with other artists
